I am Greg Simmons – a husband, dad and self-professed geek. To pay the bills, I have worked in various capacities in the telecommunications and IT industries since 1996. Michelle has let me be her husband for nearly 20 years and we have two wonderful children – Hannah and Ethan. I love good coffee, camping with my kids, kayaking, weekend getaways with my family and watching movies with my wife.
The basis for this blog is simple – we are all in beta. For the non-techies, beta defines a product that is still in development and not yet ready for release to production. Each of us is in beta – not yet ready for production. This all came from a simple verse in the NCV translation:
12 I do not mean that I am already as God wants me to be. I have not yet reached that goal, but I continue trying to reach it and to make it mine. Christ wants me to do that, which is the reason he made me his. – Philippians 3:12 (emphasis added)
