I had a great lunch with a friend yesterday. The food was good but the conversation was better – it was what I so needed. Time with a friend to laugh a little, vent a little and, of course, solve all the world's problems. If world leaders would just call, we could get this all wrapped up and taken care of in short order.
While we were eating, I looked over and saw a poster of James Dean with one of his more famous quotes:
"Dream as if you'll live forever. Live as if you'll die today." – James Dean
That quote makes so much sense. But, so many times I believe we get it backwards.
We let our dreams die each day and live as if there will always be tomorrow.
As much as the conversation, I needed to be challenged by that great theologian Mr. Dean. How about you?
